Begin with an overview of common obstacles to successful Major Gift programs.
Then jump into specific, in-depth approaches to overcome obstacles and put into place a firm foundation to support a successful Major Gift program that will include:

  • Uncover "keys" to the "locks"
  • Learn specific "keys" that open specific "locks"
  • Most importantly - how to use the key!

  2. You'll be diving into the mechanics of "making the Ask."
  3. Be ready to "roll-up your sleeves" and get down to work.
Key concepts and activities will include:
  • Learn the 8 keys to "proposal content"
  • Explore the best surroundings to "make the Ask"
  • Important concepts of "positioning the Ask"
  • Develop exact language to use when "making the Ask"
  • Proper responses to donor questions - and how to handle the dreaded "that's too much for me"
  • Bring your mission statement, brochures, and any material that can be helpful to you in crafting your "Ask"
  • AFTER 3 HOURS leave with specific language YOU can use to get on the road to "making the Ask"
